I think that holidays are experienced differently by everyone. For me, Valentine’s day just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t make these Valentines. I started doing this craft some time in elementary school with my sister and my mom to give out to classmates and teachers. We had so much fun, putting together different combinations of hearts, stickers, doilies, glitter, and stamps…every single one was different. I couldn’t wait to give them out! I know that this is a pretty straight-forward craft, but I could not resist posting about it.
What you will need:
- Assorted doilies
- Craft paper of various colors/patterns, or old magazines
- a glue stick
- white glue (for glitter)
- a pencil
- various items for decorating (this could include any stickers, stamps, glitter, pens, markers, crayons, etc. that you might have on hand)
Cut hearts out of cardstock and magazines by folding the paper and half and cutting out half a heart. If you want, you can trace a heart onto the paper if you are crafting with your kids, so that they have a line to follow.
Assemble valentines with a variety of hearts, stickers, glitter, etc. The best part is there are no rules!! Just be creative!
