You may remember my knitted lap blanket troubles from last month. Since then I have found what I think is a pretty good solution….multicolor yarn!
I had such a hard time finding anything that would look even remotely ok with what I already had, but when I was about to give up, I ran across this:
It is 100% cotton, which is different than the wool/cotton blend I had been working with, but has the same thickness and feel. The colors vary from white to pink to orange, and while none of the colors match exactly with my other yarn, the variety of colors tricks the eyes into thinking it does.
I am so happy with how this came out, despite the fact that I ran out of yarn. *note to self, take your own advice next time*
